It would appear that the Amazon Unbox service is finally available for Macs. I have to admit that I am a little bit excited to try this out as Amazon’s MP3 Store has proven to be a great source of music.

I really like iTunes rental service — it is sssooooo convenient — but the price has kept me from using too often. My hope is that with Amazon pushing on two fronts now (that’s music and video, for those keeping score at home) Apple will be forced to try something new in order to maintain their dominance. Frankly, a NetFlix-style queue set-up is pretty much seal the deal for me. Whoever, gets that going first pretty much wins in my book.
