Pet Peeve #39: People who use an abbreviation with the last word from that abbreviation.

Example:

  • NIC Card (Network Interface Card Card?)
  • VIN Number (Vehicle Identification Number Number?)
  • DAT Tape (Digital Audio Tape Tape?)
  • PIN Number (Personal Identification Number Number?)

You sound like an idiot. Please stop it.

my .Mac email account just expired.  Since I can still use my login for iTunes and iChat etc.  I think I’m gonna just switch to a Gmail account.  Do you think you’ll be getting anymore invites soon?

What happened to the invite I sent you? Just kidding, I know that you didn’t take it as I never got any word from GMail about it. If I get some more invites you will be first on the list. Check with Paul, he accepted one and may have some invites and be unaware that he has them.
