Treasure the Moments
Treasure the moments you have with your family and friends. You never know when those moments can be gone. I had a little reminder about that last night when Thing 3 had a fever-induced seizure. Fortunately, he is fine and the paramedics and doctors have assured us that it happens a lot and is nearly always without any lasting effects. Still scared the crap out of us though.
There is nothing more terrifying than holding your child and not having a single clue what you can do to help. We didn’t even know for sure what was going on. Thankfully, the fire station is literally just down the street, so the response was blessedly quick. But if I never have to experience that again in my life, I will be fine with that.
So remember that we don’t know when these moments we have with our loved ones can end, so be sure you treasure them while they are here. Take more pictures and video. Spend those extra moments doing something meaningful instead of absorbed in your own projects/problems. There are more important things in life.
